A working conference hall, a museum built from mills, and a festival that fills the streets for free. Arcadia’s culture isn’t behind glass — it’s still in use, still happening, still made by hand.
Conference & Cultural Center
Built into the historic town of Dimitsana, the Conference & Cultural Center hosts conferences, seminars and exhibitions for the wider Gortynia region — an amphitheatre for 210, two breakout rooms, and a cafeteria looking over the Lousios gorge.
Open-Air Water Power Museum
Just outside Dimitsana, a restored watermill, tannery and gunpowder mill sit along a running stream — a reminder of the town’s role supplying the 1821 Revolution. Part of the PIOP museum network, open daily except Tuesdays.

Melitzazz Festival
Every July, Melitzazz fills the squares and streets of Leonidio for four free days of music, visual arts, film and nature walks — a community arts festival now in its 14th year.
