Conference & Cultural Center

Built into the historic town of Dimitsana, the Conference & Cultural Center hosts conferences, seminars and exhibitions for the wider Gortynia region — an amphitheatre for 210, two breakout rooms, and a cafeteria looking over the Lousios gorge.

Open-Air Water Power Museum

Just outside Dimitsana, a restored watermill, tannery and gunpowder mill sit along a running stream — a reminder of the town’s role supplying the 1821 Revolution. Part of the PIOP museum network, open daily except Tuesdays.

Melitzazz Festival in Leonidio, Arcadia

Every July, Melitzazz fills the squares and streets of Leonidio for four free days of music, visual arts, film and nature walks — a community arts festival now in its 14th year.

Good to know: the Water Power Museum keeps seasonal hours (winter 10:00–17:00, summer 10:00–18:00, closed Tuesdays); Melitzazz runs a few days each July. The Conference Center hosts private events year-round — check ahead before visiting.
