Discover the Heart of the Peloponnese: Slow Tourism, Year-Round
Dear partners and friends of Arcadia,
Welcome to the latest update from Arcadia Hospitality Network, a mission to organise Arcadia, Greece, into a genuinely sustainable destination. Not a listing of rooms to book, but a place with a working structure behind it: trails to walk, tastes to discover, hospitality to experience, and stories worth telling.

Our mission is to preserve and share the authentic, untouched beauty of Arcadia through sustainable, slow tourism. Whether you are walking ancient paths, tasting recipes passed down through generations, or connecting with local communities, we believe travel should be an immersive experience. As we expand our network of local producers, traditional guesthouses, and outdoor activity providers, we are thrilled to share new ways for you to experience the true essence of mountain and coastal village life.
In this issue: London draws closer, a new road trip winds through the villages of Menalon, and our next stop is the Netherlands — with fresh trails to walk, real flavours behind real names, and the members who bring it all to life.

Meet Arcadia at the Adventure Travel Show
In January 2027, Arcadia Hospitality Network will exhibit for the first time at the Adventure Travel Show in London — one of the trade’s leading events for adventure and experiential travel, under the auspices of VisitPeloponnese, the DMO of Peloponnese. We’ll be joined on our stand by epaithros+ / Rural Greece, representing Greek rural tourism alongside us.
A self-drive route through the heart of Menalon: from Tripoli through Piana, Alonistaina, Vytina and Stemnitsa, between dense fir forests and historic villages, ending at the Frankish castle of Karytaina. Six stops, at your own pace — easy to weave into a wider Peloponnese itinerary.
Arcadia is a destination meant to be experienced at your own pace. This season, we are highlighting the profound connection between our landscape and our table.
Hyper-Local Gastronomy: True hospitality starts in the kitchen. Our partners are proud to serve authentic regional specialties — handmade hilopites and rich trachanas, the cheese artisans of Karatoula, the renowned Tsakonian eggplant, and the crisp apple Pilafa of Tegea (PDO products).
The action: On Thursday, 7 January 2027, the Arcadia Hospitality Network will be at the trade networking table at Vakantiebeurs, in Jaarbeurs, Utrecht — just five minutes from the central station — meeting with Dutch tour operators and travel professionals.
On the Table: from 2 PM to 6 PM. We will be discussing our four pillars — Stay, Hike, Taste, Explore. We look forward to exploring opportunities for collaboration, designing sustainable slow-travel itineraries, and introducing you to our regional trail networks, e-bike rental integrations, and authentic cultural experiences.
Going beyond: Following our afternoon meetings, we warmly invite you to join us for a networking drinks event from 5 PM to 10 PM to connect further.
Tour operators and agents: ask us about itineraries, member availability and how Arcadia fits into a wider Peloponnese programme. Journalists: we’re happy to share background, images and interview access ahead of a story.
