If you’re planning a trip for cooler weather, this is the season to come. Mornings are crisp enough for a proper hike, the gorges and mountain trails are quiet again, and the villages open their squares back up to visitors after a long summer. Come for a walk to the monasteries clinging to the cliffs of Lousios Gorge, or a slower route through Menalon’s stone villages — the kind of walking where you stop as often for the view as for a coffee.
Autumn also means the traditional village feasts are back: roasted chestnuts in the square, honey and walnut festivals, and the kind of local table you don’t find on a menu. It’s the best time to taste Arcadia the way it’s meant to be tasted — slowly, outdoors, among people who grew what’s on your plate. Here’s what else is new this issue: a region stepping forward to back our journey to London, what to expect at Travel Trade Day in the Netherlands, two new members joining the Network, and a sports tourism story quietly building its own name.
In this issue: come find us at Stand C20 in London, what to expect at Travel Trade Day in Utrecht, two new members join the Network, and the Megalopolis Gravel Classic locks in its 2027 date.

Arcadia Goes to London
Come Find Us at Stand C20
With 114 days to go until the Adventure Travel Show in London, we’re putting the final pieces of our stand together. We’re travelling with VisitPeloponnese and epaithros+ / Rural Greece, with Tegaia joining us as our official taste partner — so come by for a proper Peloponnese welcome, not just a leaflet.
Consider this your invitation: if you’ll be at the Business Design Centre on 9–10 January 2027, come find us at Stand C20 — we’d love to meet you in person.
The name says it all: melitzana, the protected Tsakonian aubergine of Leonidio, meets jazz. Now in its 14th year, this free, open-air festival turns the town’s squares and streets into a stage for four days every July — live music, art and film alongside the Tsakonian dialect, weaving and dance. Grassroots, place-rooted, and genuinely Arcadia’s own.
What to Expect at Travel Trade Day — Join Us in Utrecht
Travel Trade Day has been running for more than 50 years, and its organisers describe it as the biggest travel industry event of the year in the Netherlands — for one day, the centre of the travel world. Expect a floor of destinations, airlines, hotels and travel agents, with a central stage and workshops running throughout the day.
And of course, we’re already looking forward to the appointment that matters most to us: the networking reception at the close of the day — where the real partnerships get built.
Consider this your invitation: if you’ll be in Utrecht on 7 January 2027, come find us — we’re setting up 1:1 appointments around the day and would love to meet you in person.
The Megalopolis Gravel Classic Is Building Its Name
Two editions in, participation more than doubled, and an Olympic medallist on the start line — the Megalopolis Gravel Classic is quietly building its own name in Arcadian sports tourism. The 2027 date is already locked in.
A mountain guesthouse in Piana and a conference centre in Dimitsana — two very different doors into the same Arcadia.
