Welcome to the second update from Arcadia Hospitality Network, our mission to organise Arcadia, Greece, into a genuinely sustainable destination. Not a listing of rooms to book, but a place with a working structure behind it: trails to walk, tastes to discover, hospitality to experience, and stories worth telling.

Fewer Days, and a Filling Stand
We’re now 122 days from the Adventure Travel Show in London — one of the trade’s leading events for adventure and experiential travel, under the auspices of VisitPeloponnese, the DMO of Peloponnese. epaithros+ / Rural Greece has already confirmed its place alongside us on the stand, representing Greek rural tourism.
Spots on our stand are becoming limited as more of our members lock in their place. We’ll be there, waiting for you.
Our fifth Slow Journey just went live: four days based entirely in Stemnitsa, Arcadia’s silversmiths’ village at the mouth of the Lousios Gorge. One base, three ways to move — e-bike between mountain villages, on foot into the gorge’s cliffside monasteries, on horseback beneath the medieval castle of Karytaina. No re-packing, no dawn transfers — just one stone village that becomes familiar, and a different rhythm each morning.
Prefer to cover more ground behind the wheel? Our self-drive route links eight stops from the Tripoli plain into the Parnon foothills — Tegea’s ancient ruins, the TeGaia and Tselepos estates, the stone village of Ano Doliana, Malevi Monastery and the Lepida waterfalls — ending in the plane-shaded village of Platanos.
Preparations have moved from planning to paper: our seat at the Netherlands trade table is now under signed contract. One thing worth flagging — the exhibition itself has a new name for its 2027 edition. What we knew as Vakantiebeurs is now called The Getaway, still run by the same team, just under a new banner.

A small tip for our Dutch friends: if Moschofilero — the fragrant white wine of the Mantineia plateau — is on the list at the drinks that evening, ask for a glass. If you don’t know it yet, that’s exactly the point: ask, and taste.
Most coaches drive through Arcadia. Almost none stop. We put together a concise destination file for tour operators and travel agents: eleven member villages spread across three mountain massifs — Menalon/Gortynia, Megalopoli and Parnon — so a programme can sleep in a different landscape each night without long transfers. Inside: our four pillars, drive-time tables from major gateways, and an honest look at what Arcadia is — and isn’t. We take no commission and don’t sell packages ourselves — and we’re always happy to arrange fam trips for product managers and press.
From hotels and villas to traditional guest houses — Arcadian hospitality lives in the places our members run. This issue, meet two of the members riding along with us: a mountain retreat, and a herd of horses beneath a medieval castle.
